So. . . I'm all caught up through May 2011, really!

Here it is, six months later and I have yet to post about
our life back down south.
Sorry about that. This'll be a major "catch up"!

It was great to finally meet our new cousins in person. Brookie was born six months earlier and Jos was born two months earlier. Not much interaction yet but soon enough I'm sure!

We also go to see our cousin Ally-bally and clown around with her for a little, too!

We celebrated birthdays: B is 5 and CG is 3!

Low-key party at the park- perfect to run around after the pizza and cake!

No candy in the pinata- lots of little toys and trinkets instead!

Enjoying bedtime reading with Habii -
snowman hat, drummers headphones, and a lei - !

Showing off her biceps - "feeeeel my muscles!!!"

At the aquarium with a long time friend -
B has an impressive array of facial expressions. . . can't say I like them all.

B also started piano lessons. So far, so good! He likes it very much :)

Visited the Noah's Ark at the Skirball Cultural Center -
so much fun! Most of the stuff in the ark is made out of recycled items like combs, spatulas, tires, etc. Very creative and impressive- kids had a blast!

B is getting into art- most all of the wall space in our house has some artwork plastered all over it- and he's learning how to write as well. It makes for the cutest drawings :)

Hanging out with Brookie

We got a strawberry plant - it was fun for the first crop of strawberries...
but I don't really have a green thumb so it was our only crop of strawberries :(

I put our old cradle in the space between B's bed and the wall since
I have no other place to put it- obviously B doesn't mind. I think he enjoys it a lot!
Maybe too much. . .

Easter egg hunt at church

Sometimes I wish they'd stay this age forever!

Welcomed home Emo-halmuhnee and Emobu-harahbuhjee from overseas
(yes, I cut his hair)

Celebrating Mother's Day with the grandmas

Cousin pictures, part deux

Family hike on Memorial Day- had fun, but also realized we are not a "hiking" family.
This was only 3/4 miles and we were ready to go home!
